The only prize in Chongqing! 重庆唯一获奖！KLIS学子在SEAMO竞赛中喜获佳绩！
Good news! Modi Yang, a student from KLIS Grade 3, won the silver medal recently in the 2022 SEAMO China Competition. And he was the only prize winner in Chongqing.
喜报！我校三年级学生Modi Yang在不久前刚刚落下帷幕的2022年SEAMO中国赛中斩获银奖，也是重庆市唯一的获奖选手。

SEAMO, Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad, is now one of the world''s most influential mathematical competitions, based on the 21st Century Core Competencies of education purposed by Singapore Education Ministry. SEAMO emphasizes the training of critical thinking and encourages students to break the rules and connect different ideas to achieve academic or career success. By 2022, the competition has been successfully held in 18 countries and regions, with more than 20,000 students participated.

SEAMO全称 Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad，东南亚奥林匹克数学竞赛, 现已成为当今世界有影响力，高含金量的数学竞赛之一，试题以新加坡教育部提出的21世纪核心竞争能力为基础。SEAMO强调批判性思维的训练，鼓励学生打破常规，将不同的想法进行关联，从而获得学习或者事业上的成功。截止2022年赛事已在全球18个国家及地区顺利开展，参赛学生超过20，000人次。
We are not surprised by Modi Yang''s excellent performance in the SEAMO Competition: Modi''s excellent performance in the field of mathematics has been recognized by all. He has consistently scored in the top 3% of the world in the MAP math test since he entered the school.

The math courses at KLIS aims to develop students'' mathematical thinking and problem solving skills. Students are encouraged to learn math in their daily lives, explore ways to solve problems and enjoy the fun of challenging themselves. Mathematics is no longer full of boring formulas and one only correct answer. Teachers guide students to look at this subject with an open mind. A problem can be solved in a variety of ways.
